So I spent the next 12 years mastering info product creation. I have my Master of Science in Organizational Psychology which provided me with a very strong foundation for training and development. I took positions where they put me in charge of developing out training and development curriculum for programs that would last anywhere from a weekend to two weeks of daily non-stop training. And while I started with very traditional training and development roles in corporate positions, I gravitated into the world of entrepreneurs who had a vision and a dream who had created very successful businesses from the bottom up. When I would listen to them speak, I was inspired and knew deep in my heart that I wanted to work with them.

From Rags To Riches

The funny thing is that they all had these rags to riches stories.They literally conquered adversity and created success! They are what Tim Ferris refers to in his book The Four-Hour Workweek as the New Rich. The New Rich are self-made, first-generation millionaires.

One of my first big positions was with a gentleman who was literally evicted 13 times and started his business out of his mother in law's basement. When I met him, he had a beautiful wife and family and was a multimillionare with a Bentley, mansion, and company limousine with a full-time driver.

Another client realized when he was 10 years old that his parents weren't good with money and that he wanted to create enough wealth to support his family. So right then and there he set up a desk in the middle of his bedroom and deemed himself CEO. By the time I had met him, he had generated hundreds of millions in revenue with his products and ongoing business ventures.

And yet another client went to her ATM back in 1999 only to find that she couldn't pull out $20 dollars after she took the leap of faith and left her 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. J.O.B. to become a freelance self-employed copywriter. A decade later she has a multimillion dollar business that was listed as an INC 500 company! I had the privilege of working with her as her business went from six to seven figures into a multimillion dollar company.

The Foundation Of Success

As I worked with these inspiring entrepreneurs, what I found was that each of their business models included the sales of products and information products ~ books, DVDs, home study systems, seminars, advanced seminars, membership programs, and related products. These info products supported the desired outcomes of their clients in re-establishing health and building wealth and creating lives they loved living with plenty of freedom and time to enjoy family and friends. So a huge part of the fun was seeing how positively this information impacted the lives of the people who used this information and became empowered by it in their own lives.

My job was to help them implement their visions like a two-week bootcamp or a train the trainer program or a new information product or managing a new membership program for a year. I helped them to continue growing their businesses by adding in multiple streams of additioanal income. So you can imagine, I got really good at creating high-end info products that have retailed from $1000.00 - $5000.00 over the years.
